You Can't be Squeamish in Spain

I walked home from class today all excited for lunch.  I was really hungry.  I wasn't sure if my senora was going to make me lunch today or not - she said something that I didn't understand.  So I had it all planned.  If there was no food, I was going to make myself pasta.  I get home all ready for a big meal and I find that she's made me something and left if on the stove to warm.  Win.  I was so hungry and excited I couldn't wait so I took of the towel and plate that was covering it and I took a peak at what I was going to devour in a few minutes.  It was yellow.  There was rice.  I saw the remants of the chicken I didn't finish yesterday.  And then I saw it.  Shrimp.

Ordinarily shrimp wouldn't bother me.  I can handle a tail or two of it.  But this is not like in the states.  Remember the chicken I so loved, but had to pick around the bones?  Well, the shrimp was like that, except they don't have bones.  There were entire shrimps in there.  Heads and all.  I didn't know what to do.  I was hungry, and I did want to try seafood while I was here.

I ate it heads and all.

Just kidding.  I cut off the heads and pealed off all of the scaly outsideness.  I don't even know what its called - an exoskeleton?  Either way, I ate a bit of shrimp some of the rice a lot of bread and cheese and a banana.  The banana saved me.

Tomorrow I leave for Seville for two days.  I'm quite excited to see another city in Spain.
